Peggy Rubin’s Evolutionary Journey began in February with these reports of the first weekend: “This was the BEST weekend yet! Truly amazing! We would so love to have more of you join us in this wonderful, heart-opening, brain-expanding, community-building walk with Peggy Rubin and The Lady. If you are thinking about it at all, think, Yes!”
Or this: “The first session of the 2014 Evolutionary Journey: The Lady Who Walks Beside You with Peggy Rubin was amazing. To me it feels that something very important on both a personal and cosmic level has begun.”
“We worked/played with the goddess as Gaia, our Earth Mother, making her splendidly bejeweled, as Judith Milburn shared. We also held a Sacred Marriage ceremony to reunite Spirit and Nature, each of us sharing our vows to carry part of the Divine Lady, to bring something into union within ourselves that will help sustain the earth more deeply.
From this union, each of us now carries the seed of the goddess, and our job during the weeks until the next session, is to gestate the goddess. ‘What I mean by goddess,’ Peggy said, ‘is a sense of the feminine power and cherishing.’ She gave us practices to help with this, to clear old imprints and nurture ourselves that we might embody the goddess more fully.
In attitude we are to be innovative, imagine how objects and actions can be new and different, communicate with others to speed up the innovative process, honor and celebrate diversity, practice radical inclusion, learn from dreams, and ‘drop the knife’:
Once a young woman asked Hafiz, ‘What is the sign of someone knowing God?’ Hafiz remained silent for a few moments and looked deep into the young person’s eyes, then said, ‘Dear, they have dropped the knife. They have dropped the cruel knife most so often use upon their tender self and others.’ ”
“Write a welcome to what is now being engendered in me that might be different, that with which I choose to be in union.
Weekly: Follow the gestation of the embryo/fetus during the first trimester. (Watch videos on YouTube for visual references.)
Since conception occurred last week, we are now at our second week (which is week 4 since pregnancies are counted from the time of the last menses), the new being has just implanted.
Use this time to reprogram how I came into the world—cherished, capable, filled with every possibility. All of the feelings of not being enough, not being wanted, not being capable are planted in the first trimester or before. ‘Drop the knife so often used on the tender self.’
Renew body parts that are wearing out, as they are developing in the fetus.
Breathe—be present with the indwelling deity.
Bless my body as I name my personal deities.
These names came from a process Peggy did with us in our own brains, with one goddess at the old brain, another at the doorway between the right hemisphere and the left, the third at the frontal lobes, and the fourth our whole self.
Look in the mirror and see myself as the goddess. Look into my own eyes and allow the deity within to be seen.
Nourish myself well. What do I yearn for in the way of food?
At least once each week: Treat myself as we treated one another in preparation for the Sacred Marriage ceremony, cleansing and blessing with a wand of rosemary, dipped in a bowl of water with rose petals, recognizing the goddess within.
Bathe my feet with scented water (rose water), remembering that I walk with The Lady.”
